WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT RESTORING CERAMIC TILE GROUT

Sanded grout is a porous material that can become soiled and stained even under the best conditions. Grout Shield solves this problem with our "color sealing" process. Our sealer not only ensures beautifully consistent colored grout but also resists stains from food, drinks, and dirt.

Our cleaning and color sealing process restores soiled grout lines to a "like new" appearance, protecting both new and old installations. This process saves you time, money, and the effort of scrubbing your tile grout on your hands and knees.

Let Grout Shield bring your grout lines back to "like new" condition.

Q1. Is the color sealant hard to apply?

No, anyone can apply our product—from the average homeowner to the most experienced tile layer. We provide complete instructions and videos to guide you through the application process. (Refer to DIY Application Guide)

Q2. Can you match my existing color of my grout?

Yes, Grout Shield offers numerous color sealers for both sanded and unsanded grout types. You can choose any color you wish. Even under ideal conditions, new grout can have varying shades. We match the color you desire to ensure a consistent grout color. Our color sealer absorbs into the pores of your grout for a long-lasting, uniform finish.

Q3. What is the dry time?

You can walk on it within 10 to 12 minutes, but it takes 48 hours to fully cure. Keep the sealed areas dry for 48 hours to ensure the best results.

Q4. How often do you have to clean the grout once restored?

Experts recommend cleaning your floor once a week with a pH-neutral, soap-less cleaner like Grout Shield Maintenance Cleaner. When cleaning, change your mop water as soon as it appears dirty. Use a mop to agitate the cleaner on the grout surface, then dry with a towel or terry cloth. For any dried surface stains, spot clean with undiluted Grout Shield Maintenance Cleaner.

Q5. How often do you have to reseal the grout after first application?

With proper maintenance, a floor can last indefinitely, depending on conditions.

Q6. How much does it cost to have my grout restored and color sealed?

Pricing depends on total square footage, tile size, and type. We'll visit your home and provide a free written estimate. Drop us an email or message us on WhatsApp us to get a quote.

Q7. I'm curious, why did the grout in my newly renovated home become so soiled so quickly? It's only a few months old. Rarely do tile installers seal grout. Why?

Most tile installers in Singapore do not seal grout after completing tiling work, as it has not been industry practice for decades and is considered not cost-effective and time-consuming. Both sanded and unsanded grout types are porous and can easily attract dirt, stains, and mold in our humid environment. When you mop your floor, dirty mop water seeps into the grout pores, making it difficult to clean.

Q8. What is your return policy?

Our Grout Shield Colorants are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once delivered. Please note that CUSTOM COLOURS are not pre-bottled products; they are custom-made for each individual customer to ensure quality. Therefore, they are not returnable or refundable. Additional freight costs apply for CUSTOM COLOURS, which have a minimum lead time of 2 weeks.

Q9. What is the local delivery charge, and how soon can I receive my order?

Local delivery is charged at $4.50 per trip, but this fee is waived for orders above $50.00. (International shipping charges will be quoted separately.) We will ship your order to your local Singapore address the next business day, and it will reach you within 3 business days.
